Class 2

Trees

Second Class Quality Nordmann
There are a number of reasons why not all planted trees grow to become Prime Nordmann:
– their seeds might have not been of the superior quality.
– the tree might have grown in an unsheltered place.
– the tending of the tree might have been not careful enough.
The trees of the second quality have all the features of the prime Nordmann (dense and strong needles), but they lack the perfect, uniform shape. They may be not as excellent as the prime trees, but they are still beautiful and are in great demand among those who look for handsome trees and moderate price.

Second Class Cuttings
Second class cuttings are trimmed from the lower sections of the Nordmann firs. As these branches usually grow in the shade, they may be of inferior built and density.
